Personal Preparation for Online Learning
The content and rigor of the online courses offered by UWF are generally equivalent to the on-campus version of the same course. You should expect to spend as much time for study, or perhaps more, as a classroom course since you are managing your own learning using the online information and materials.

Many students have other obligations beyond school such as work, athletics and even family responsibilities. This can be stressful and can lead to challenges with finding time for coursework. It is especially important to approach your online class as you would a traditional class.

Career Development & Community Engagement
From career development guidance, creating a professional résumé or interviewing practice to career exploration and 1:1 career coaching, CDCE resources and online tools are available to help you find your path. Handshake is the university-wide job posting system for students and alumni to schedule appointments with career coaches, stay up to date with career events, and search for jobs, internships, Co-ops, and more.

Counseling and Psychological Services
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers counseling and therapy to help students manage, cope and grow with the stress associated with school and life. Therapy services are available to UWF students with Florida in-state residency. Telephone crisis counseling is available to all students. Students can also utilize the online mental health screening or self-help library's interactive modules.

Recognized as a Gold-level University in the large public school category on the list of Military Friendly Schools, UWF’s MVRC is dedicated to supporting our military and veteran students. VetSuccess, SWIM (Social Work Interns Mentoring) Team, Certifying Officials and Transitions Coaches are available to ensure your success at UWF.

UWF provides individualized support services to encourage full participation for students with disabilities. Register with the office to review eligibility for accommodations and services.
